Hand finishing is the capability that most moulders either don't offer or charge heavily to subcontract out. We've been doing it in-house for decades. It's one of the main reasons our clients come to us in the first place and one of the main reasons they stay.
The economics of injection moulding favour automation. Most moulders want to run a machine, drop parts into a box and ship them. Any operation that requires a person to touch the component is a complication they'd rather not manage. We think differently. For the right component — and many components genuinely benefit from a skilled hand at the end of the line — hand finishing is what separates a good part from a great one.

Quality at This Stage
Finishing and inspection are not separate operations here. Our finishing team are trained to identify quality issues — surface defects, short shots, flash, warpage — during the finishing process itself. Rejects are pulled before they reach the packing stage, not after the customer has received them.
This integration of quality into the production line is one of the structural advantages of doing everything in-house. There's no handoff between a moulding team and a finishing team pointing fingers at each other when something doesn't look right.
Sectors Where This Matters
Hand finishing is particularly relevant in sectors where component presentation matters, where there are tight visual or dimensional standards, or where sub-assembly is part of the value the component delivers. We work across defence, medical instrumentation, consumer goods and precision industrial components — all sectors where getting the finishing wrong is not an option.
